Helping High-tech Start-ups Grow
Based on our more than 20 years in consulting and hands-on experience of our own spin-off companies and experience exchange platforms, B&W supports the main actors in the field of venturing to create, grow, invest in or coach high tech start-ups.
High tech start-ups
Navigation skills are required to orientate a start-up towards the market. B&W provides coaching to entrepreneurs to analyse the potential of the venture and the consistency of its business model. We also help start-ups with business and growth strategies, business plans and investment proposals. Further on, B&W can support the connection to suitable investors, not only for finance, but also to strengthen the start-up in areas such as market access, networking or professionalisation of the management structure.
Investors
Investments in high-tech start-ups probably have the highest risk/potential reward in any investors’ portfolio. To facilitate investment decisions, B&W has developed a proprietary methodology for assessing the investment readiness of start-ups. Through our structured 2-step approach, we can quickly analyse the basic elements of a sustainable business. Ventures with these elements in place are then examined in detail for the key growth elements. The result is a selection of investment-ready start-ups, aware of their market strengths and weaknesses.
Public bodies
Innovation and entrepreneurship policies and programmes are widespread measures to strengthen competitiveness. The challenge is to ensure that the measures efficiently reach the target. B&W supports the definition and implementation of entrepreneurship policies by analysing the impact and adequacy of support programmes, while redefining target groups and content. We put entrepreneurship and venturing into a broader general framework, while focusing on R&D and industrial policies.
