Who we are, what we do, for whom

B&W is a specialized consultancy firm based in Spain, but with origins in the Netherlands where we still have an extensive network of clients. Founded in 1987 in The Hague, The Netherlands, under the name Willems & van den Wildenberg, we have evolved into the present company Bax & Willems Consulting Venturing with headquarters in Barcelona. Over these last 20 years B&W has accumulated substantial experience and an extensive toolbox to facilitate Open Innovation, create and manage a portfolio of ventures, opportunities or R&D projects. Our key working area lies in the interface of products, markets, technologies and business.

A recurring theme in our activities is sustainability and societal relevance. Today sustainability plays a central role for new businesses in a double way: New products, processes or technologies have to meet societal standards to be economically viable and successful; on top of that, sustainability forms just the powerful, modern tangible customer-demand with clear growth potentials that any new industrial activity should be based on.

Clients are innovative industrial companies, both small & medium enterprises and multinationals and public entities like governmental organizations / third parties in business/industry and service. We have worked for clients in over 14 different countries across Europe, as well as the occasional client based in the USA.
